Underwood's Cafeteria - Brownwood

This place is incredible. we decided to stop at this place instead of the chain restaurants on our way to houston. this place did not disappoint. eating and service is phenomenal. I must stress that the service is beyond and beyond. the apfelskobbler is excellent and not excessively sweet! the homemade whipped cream was not disappointed.

Great place for bbq and all sides that they can handle. many summer sat in brownwood and never missed a chance to eat in underwoods. they know what they get, great eating and wonderful service. I was part of the bark, but they can't go wrong with anything on the menu and then row them after the row of the sides of maischekartoffeln to greenbeans and cobbler. do not forget the rolls! if you are hungry and stay full and happy.

If they like to eat cafeteria style, they will love this place. it is all they would expect from this type of environment. the chicken steak does not seem to be homemade, but it still tasted good. it is almost like a buffet, except they pay different prices for the meat. the jalapeno was very sharp. but the service is beautiful and we enjoyed the trip.

If they are looking for a good old cooking in a family-friendly atmosphere, underwood’s cafeteria is the place for them. the bbq is particularly delicious and the portions are generous. the staff is friendly and helpful, and they will be sure that they have something whipped cream on their cobbler if they only ask. also the hot rolls are unlimited and absolutely delicious. the prices are surprisingly reasonable so underwood is a great option for all!

After hearing about this place for years anytime the city of Brownwood was brought up, we finally were able to check it out on our way through town...and it was totally worth it! First off, the barbeque is some of the best around. Second, the sides are included with the price of your meat. Choose wisely though and don't take more than you need, as greed is a sin. Thirdly, the staff will offer you up some whipped cream for your cobbler. Truly, icing on the cake. Come check this place out if you haven't already!
