Bidrage med feedbackMy wife, daughter, son-in-law and I just finished an amazing lunch at Dae Jang Kum Korean restaurant in Brossard. We started with fried mandoo, or fried Korean dumplings and yachaejeon, which are small vegetable pancakes with a delicious sauce. Both were amazing. My wife, daughter...and son-in-law ordered the dolsot bibimbap, or a hot pot with rice, vegetables and tofu. I ordered the bulgoki, which was a flavourful marinated beef. The bulgoki was incredibly tasty. We ended with a crushed ice dessert with mango delicious. This is an amazingly tasty restuarant with excellent service. Even if you live or work on the island of Montreal this restaurant is worth the trip itès the best Korean food I've ever had!
I felt like eating a bibimbap. This dish didn’t disappoint. It came with soup, pancakes and veggie sides. We shared the fried chicken as appetizer and it was the star of the meal. My son had the short rib soup and loved it. We...will come back with friends to sample more plates. Very friendly staff.
It hasn't changed much since I last reviewed it. It still is in a smallish size restaurant, and the food is average overall. The short ribs are above average, but the sides like potatoes, two types of kim chee, and bean sprouts are just OK....Today, we had the Bibimbap, which was rice topped with seasoned vegetables and egg. It was all stirred together in a hot rock bowl and then eaten with a spoon. Taste was above average, but it needed the meat kick with the short ribs we purchased for the side. We also had cold buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce and shredded cucumber that was nice, but also not filling. Overall, it was a nice pick me upper for lunch, but not special. There are not many Korean options around, but it is OK for lunch. They don't accept credit cards. Debit or cash only
This Korean restaurant was opened the same time that the new Kim Phat opened, so it must be about years old. I have eaten here about times. The short ribs are nice, the rice, kim chee, seafood pancake, soup, grilled octopus, and multiple...side dishes (potatoes, spicy and non-spicy kim chee), are all above average in food quality. Sometimes, they are excellent. The service is fast, they are courteous, the establishment is clean, and the prices are very reasonable. The lunch menu is pretty reasonable in length with good choices. It is right next door to Kim Phat, so gets pretty good traffic. But to this day, we are not sure as to what their name is, as they chose the most bizarre and difficult to read font to emblazon their sign and print on their business cards. Why is that important? Because I think their food is pretty decent. I would recommend them more often, but not only can I not remember their name, but if you were driving by, their sign is UNREADABLE. How can you recommend a restaurant if you don’t know their name, or if you can’t read their sign when you are driving by looking for it? Please change your sign – pick a more easily read font. It would be a shame if this restaurant didn’t make it merely because of unreadable signage.
My wife, daughter, my son in law and I just finished a great lunch in the dae jang kum korean restaurant in brossard. we started with roasted mandoo, or roasted Korean dumplings and yachaejeon, which are small sweet-sep-fan cakes with a delicious sauce. both were amazing. my wife, daughter, and son in law ordered the Dolsot-Bibimbap or a hot pot with rice, sweet and tofu.
