Bidrage med feedbackI never thought I would enjoy sushi until I tried the incredibly delicious spicy tuna on crispy rice at Katsu-Ya in Studio City! Since moving to Wisconsin, my go-to restaurant is Wasabi. My absolute favorite dish is the spicy tuna and crispy rice appetizer. It is absolutely fantastic! I can't believe how much I now enjoy sushi and even crave it. My son always orders the crunch combo with an extra dragon roll, and I always end up sneaking bites from their plate!
I have been a loyal customer of the previous location for a long time, but I really love the new spot at Brookfield Square. It is definitely the best sushi you will find in the Midwest. This is coming from someone who has lived in Chicago, eaten sushi on both coasts, and in the Pacific. The quality of the food is consistently top-notch. The specials featuring fish are a must-try, especially considering the generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. Last week, they accommodated a party of 30 with less than 24 hours notice, and it was phenomenal. I left it up to Anna, who oversees the dining experience, to make the selections and everyone was satisfied - no one left hungry, no one requested beef or chicken, and even the sushi connoisseurs from the East Coast were impressed. Don't just stick to the basic California roll - try something new and ask the sushi chef to surprise you with their favorite creation. I can't praise this place enough. Give them a chance and you won't be disappointed.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since it first opened. I even had my own set of chopsticks! However, since they moved to Brookfield Square, there has been a significant change. The new space is much more welcoming and spacious, but unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined. During my visit three weeks ago with my wife, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, I had to retrieve my own drinks, and the sushi rolls were poorly constructed. Thinking it was just a one-time issue, we decided to invite my brother-in-law and his wife. My wife always orders the California rolls, but this time they seemed to have been sitting in the fridge for a while. The server had a bad attitude and lacked knowledge, not knowing what she was serving us. Unfortunately, this was the last time we will be dining at Wasabi. (We will miss you Brian, the original owner).
New location is great! Food is consistently excellent. My favorite roll is the Atomic roll with awesome spicy flavor!
New location inside Brookfield Square near Barnes and Nobles instead of across the street in a strip mall If you want to try different rolls you need to come with several friends or try the sushi boat depending upon how many people are in your group Plus they have a good selection of entrees to pick from. This location can be pricey depending upon what you decided to eat so if you're really need to be on a budget
