Newk's Eatery - Brook Highland

So it's been about 5years since last visit. Today my guest was not feeling well. Weather cold. So we decided to come eat soup. Best decision ever. We both ordered large soup and half salad. I was telling my friend that I hope the soup was really hot just as a tray with 2 bowls of absolutely steaming bowls appeared. The salads were perfectly dressed. The soup I cannot say enough good things. My friend has had very poor appetite lately and he ate everything. This is what I appreciate so much. I almost got soup to go for him for today. Some employees at this location make you wait in line for 15 to 20 minutes while your orders already setting over there ready and paid for.

It was delicious. The one in my vacinity closed years ago and I've missed it so much. Newks, please come back to Inverness or Leeds area.

Lobster soup was good which was mostly like a warm tomato

The downtown UAB location is top notch. The manager greeted us at the counter and was helpful and knowledgeable about menu items and new specials.Even though the staff was involved in closing duties (an hour before) they were engaged with customers and not bothered to keep assisting with drinks, clearing tables, etc.This is a great location.We love Newk's and all the food!!!Salads, sandwiches, soups, pizzas you won't go wrong.
