The guy at the front door is super friendly, and that makes the place 5. Bread is awesome. Food is average. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but you might be lucky to get a quiet spot if it's not too busy. CASH ONLY.
This place is an institution of higher dinning. No menus, just talk to the man, tell what you like, and ba- da-bing, there it is. My favorite is the veal roast with hot peppers. Just so you know, the men's room, that 2 stories up.
Been eating there from 1959 When I was a young boy living 3 blocks east when it was called the bus stop!
The absolute BEST Italian food!!! The staff is amazing. Go see Charlie and boys at Dominick's... You will not be disappointed...
