Couldn’t fault the food, amazing and good value for money. Unfortunately the service was poor and although I have been here many times, I will not be returning again. Following a very unclear offer on the website, an attempt of discussion around this led to a hostile and sarcastic response from the waiter. In addition one of the starters had been missed, food was quick but drinks took a while to arrive, and when bringing the receipt over after paying the bill I had to ask where my change was as they had assumed to keep this worth £5. Very nice little gastro pub, bit of a family favourite. On my first visit I had the nicest steak I 'd ever had, second time round it wasn 't quite so good, unsure if there was a change in chef or quality of the meat, but I 'm not here to judge a whole place on a single acceptable experience and will continue to return here and try lots of different things from the menu!
