The King's Head - Broadland

We popped in for lunch today without a booking and received a very warm welcome. The pub was very cosy and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Sitting in the bar area with our 2 dogs, who were also made to feel very welcome (gravy bones provided). The food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect. Lovely walks nearby. Group meal. Those who had the roast loved it. However, the fish was heavy with soft batter and the chips dry. The tartar was great as was the beer. The staff are the stand out feature, they were excellent. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5

I pre booked a table and when we arrived the lady was very pleasant and welcoming, we ordered drinks and were taken to our table. The pub was very cosy and warm. We ordered food and it arrived not long after, the food was presented lovely and the portions were large, the battered haddock hung of the plate, the mushroom risotto was very tasty and I had perfect poached egg perched on top of 2 thick pieces of smoked haddock.
