Serafina - Broad Channel

What a rip off! ordered Spicy Penne alla Vodka and schrimps on top of this. Penne not spicy, 4 schrimps and was charged $10 for the schrimps plus $21 for the pasta. What a pleasant surprise to receive the check with a 20% tip already on top of the total and a friendly question asking if I'd want to add 5, 7 or 10% more. Server kindly replied that's the NYC laws!! and then, saying it's a restaurant laws!!! I have to insist to have this tip removed and received my check like everywhere in NYC. … – show

Staying at the Pod Time Square where Serafina’s is connected to the lobby of Hotel. There is No ice maker in hotel and was told by management that that Serafinas would be happy to provide cup of ice for patrons. Ask an African American gentleman who happened to be the manager. He flat out told us NO! Said bar was too busy to provide cup of ice! Said if bar wasn’t busy he’d be happy too! First time going Friday and it was a whole vibe. Nice decor, beautiful people and the view is too die for. I will Def go back and try the food.

In violation of new york city noise regulations, this restaurant has decided to hold late night parties past 3 am every Saturday. It is disrespectful to the residents in the area, not to mention ILLEGAL.
