Osteria Carlina (west Village)

The intimate dining room is cozy and lovely. Maitre d' is charming and friendly. The food was average/less than average, and the prices were way too high for that. Wine list was mostly too expensive. There are much better options in the W Village.

What an amazing dining experience! I live in the area and always walk by this restaurant. Tonight, I finally made reservations with my friends to have dinner here. The food was exceptional. The staff was attentive, kind, and helpful. My waitress, Stephanie, was also wonderful. I enjoyed the intimate and quaint environment. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough- a hidden gem in the west village!

Second time coming here because I had such a positive experience the first time! The menu changes seasonally which shows signs of a healthy menu and proper use of seasonal ingredients. I had been hoping to have a dish I had during the summer but it was not current for the season. The dishes ordered were good, perhaps slightly indulgent. It was quality food, nothing awe-inspiring for the price but all in all it was a good dining experience. Staff is courteous and attentive and very kind. Will come again.

We walked in at 10pm on a Friday night and where very happy to be promptly greeted and seated. We shared 3 appetizers, all delicious, 1 pasta and a main course, both outstanding. A bottle of Barolo. Lovely experience all around. And the atmosphere was very soothing.Don’t forget their tiramisu. It’s the best in town.

Absolutely gorgeous food in an intimate setting. Impeccable service, warm hospitality and a stellar wine list. Highly recommend the Caesar salad, Osso Bucco, and dessert (we had the chocolate cake and panna cotta) let the manager guide your selections and you will leave enchanted and satisfied. This is Italian cuisine with attention to authenticity and quality of ingredients not your average Americanized Italian.
