Bidrage med feedbackThe first time I went everything was phenomenal. Went back for a second time and they had some kitchen issues. We waited 45 mins for the first items to come out and there was no acknowledgment from the server that they were running a bit behind. The steak came out without salt, and other dishes were off too. When it came time to pay they added the 20% tip automatically and didn’t acknowledge that the experience wasn’t up to their standard. I guess it was an off night but the behavior around it turned me off from this place.
The food is nothing special. If it had been a blind tasting I couldn't tell you it had Korean influence. The prices are higher end but the atmosphere doesn't really warrant it. The service was very nice. I guess that's all the Korean influence we could really see there. The corn dumplings were excellent.
There's a lot of hype around this restaurant and for good reason. Located in a very happening street on Ave A, is this Korean fusion gem that hit all the right notes. Like any restaurant that serves tapas there were dishes that were ok, some that were good, and a few that were total knockouts. Let me share my experience with you. FOOD The dishes to get are the corn dumplings and the cauliflower. Hands down the most memorable dishes. The other dishes were good too plantains, beets, and dessert of injomime. I would actually skip on the meat dishes here. We all thought both the steak and the wagyu eggrolls weren't that great. SERVICE The service is excellent. Water glass was never empty. They went above and beyond to cater to our group's allergies and restrictions. Very attentive. Moreover, the food came out QUICK. That was the most shocking. AMBIANCE Both the inside and the outside of the restaurant were vibes. If you're outdoor you're on St. Mark's enjoying the vibrancy of the crowd and passerbys as they walk along the street. The inside of the restaurant is well decorated with a good amount of seating. Great for both dates and dinner with friends. Overall, it's a bit pricy for the portion size for sure, but some bites really were great and love the flavor profiles they've created here. A must try!
Great variety of food to share with your table, would recommend to go in a group to be able to try more dishes. The dishes came too slow, maybe every 10 minutes, and everyone on the table only got a couple of bites per dish
Mokyo, tucked away in NYC, wowed us with tasty food, great service, and a nice drink menu. The Corn Dumplings and Oxtail Spring Rolls were standouts, and the plantain dish was a refreshing surprise. Huge shoutout to the team for their hard work NYC needs more spots like this. And we all need to be nice and generous patrons to keep them the pulse of our city. Without places like Mokyo, NYC would be a desert. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of foodie heaven in the city.
