Gupshup - Broad Channel

The service was fine, the food was presented well, but the taste was mediocre. I tried the Dahi Sev Puri, which was great, the Crispy Okra Avocado was okay but lacked seasoning. The Garlic Butter Crab with Pav had lots of crab meat but lacked flavor and was made with dairy, which was unusual for a seafood dish. The Pineapple Paneer Tikka was decent but nothing special. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a busy crowd and good vibes. The service was satisfactory. I also tried the Ayurvedic Jackass cocktail, which tasted like a regular Moscow Mule. Overall, I was slightly disappointed compared to the hype.

Anyone who claims that Gupshup is an amazing place should go back to India and reconsider their life choices. We ordered the dahi sev puri and were extremely disappointed. The restaurant basically just fried fryums and filled them with sweet dahi, with very little sev on top. It was a joke of a dish, and for $12, it was not worth it at all. I could make a much better version for free. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, and give it the lowest rating possible.
