Dutch Fred's - Broad Channel

Had a great experience at Dutch Freds before catching a broadway show. Love the ambiance of this bar with great food! The only thing was that it was a Tuesday evening and the bar does not take reservations. We called when we arrived into Penn Station and they said they had seating which we were about 15 minutes away but by the time we arrived, there was no more seating but we opted to dine at the bar. DOWNHILL. This place used to be great. Burnt chicken wings and no salads. Too loud you can’t hear a damn thing. No menus. Drinks are good.

Food and drinks were good. Arrived 30 minutes early for a reservation and was seated immediately.. Very frieny staff

Sat at the bar on Friday 12/30 at 530pm. I love the ambiance, the bartenders and most importantly the drinks! First time here and the service was amazing! Crowded on a Friday night, some of the best cocktails I've had in NYC. Would definitely go back.

Disappointed in the cocktails. Ordered two, a stirred drink and a shaken drink, and both were barely colder than room temp. The vibe and presentation are lovely, but a cocktail bar must get cocktail basics right. It feels like a fancy-looking steakhouse where the steak is never cooked to the desired doneness.
