U Karla - Brno

Hospoda U Karla is a standout among Brno's restaurants due to its high-quality food and attentive service staff. I have consistently experienced top-notch quality throughout my visits, unlike other restaurants that may start off strong but then decline over time. The restaurant has a charming interior reminiscent of the first republic era, with a warm and cozy atmosphere created by the use of wood. I highly recommend a visit to Hospoda U Karla, as I am confident that you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is fantastic and budget-friendly. The portions are large and satisfying, and they serve the best coleslaw I've ever had. If it's not too hot, I recommend dining inside to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere. The walls are decorated with portraits of Austro-Hungarian emperors, such as Franz Joseph and Charles I, which may explain the restaurant's name, U Karla. Overall, the retro and authentic atmosphere makes you feel like you're dining in the past. It would be helpful to have an English version of the menu.

This restaurant is a great place to visit for a meal. I really enjoy the wooden furniture. The food was delicious, and they even offer free soup when you order a meal. The portion sizes are quite large! Additionally, you can try a variety of beers from a local brewery. The service was quick and friendly.

Very tasty eating and huge portions! beautiful things (but they don't speak in English), polite and smiling (rare from Czech things). it was pleasant to have dinner here.

Great place which disappointed me today. The food is amazing, prices are cheap and portions are huge. The interior is also interesting and the vibe is definitely local. But the service disappointed me a little bit today. The staff does not speak English. That would be okay, but waiters still were not very friendly and understanding when I was trying to speak my basic Czech. And I give 4 stars not because I don't like the place, but because I love it and wish to get better and better
