Bidrage med feedbackThe ONLY saving grace on my experience was two things. One, the waitress was super sweet, and there was another waitress who was not waiting my table but was also very nice. Two, the onion rings were amazing. Beyond this, my experience was otherwise atrocious. When I got there, the main dining area was full so they had me sit in the American Legion room I think it was called which was perfectly fine, except the waitress completely forgot about me and would likely NOT have come to check on me and take my drink and food order if it weren 't for a nice older lady who I can only assume is just a regular customer there and not an employee. She called to someone and told them not to forget about me and that her party was also going to be seated in that room. I had been there roughly five minutes or so before the waitress came in, and she then took the other people 's drink and food order first even though I had arrived several minutes prior to them. By this time, most of the patrons who were in the main dining area were beginning to shuffle out after paying so not many remained to serve, yet despite being there prior to the the table of three (I was alone), their food and drinks were served first. When my drink arrived, the Coca-Cola tasted like dirty dishes water. I ordered a ribeye... MEDIUM. That took another FORTY MINUTES to arrive, and when it did, it was nothing short of well done. I prefer my Nikes on my feet, not on my plate. I eventually sawed enough of the meat from the slab to decide it no longer wanted it as it was way over cooked and poorly seasoned. I ended up getting my fill on the onion rings, thank goodness but that trip cost me $21 for the meal plus another $5 in tips as I was feeling generous to which I still am uncertain at to why. I guess since she was at least polite. At the end of the day, I left quite disappointed as the reviews made the food sound so much better than it actually was for me on this day. I can honestly say, I should have saved the money and bought McDonalds next door and for once, the food would have actually been better.
The American diner spirit lives on at Crossroads Diner. Come in and be treated like family whether you like it or not—just like family do. : All the staff were salt of the earth Oklahomans. The food was made with care and tasted delicious. The coffee is tasty and plentiful. Route 66 gem, come check it out. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
Restaurant changed name from Steak and Eggs to Cross Roads for a route 66 run in. They have served my husband rotten food that would have gotten him sick and fired our favorite waitress. Not a good place to eat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
