Bidrage med feedbackFirefly has been around as long as I can remember. One of the earlier breweries to pop up in CT. They have excellent beer and a really cool spot to hang out with friends. I recommend their “Cone Flakes IPA” or their “Local Bud” but they also have other varieties. Definitely a good spot to be in Bristol CT
A fixture in Bristol for 7.5 years, this brewery has beers on tap for every palate!
Be aware that it's going to look like you're in the wrong place. Have faith in the signage, behind the bit that looks very much like not-open-to-the-public industry, you'll get to the tap room. Anyway: it's fantastic. They have it all. Ample seating. Ample parking. An obviously the beer is fantastic enough that you're probably going to the tap room having already tried the beer.
Wide variety of beers in what I would have thought was a nondescript box of a location, but inside is simply a beautiful space, with many heavy wood tables (separated appropriately around the dark wooden room), to enjoy that variety. Prices are reasonable, and while the brewers tend toward the oddball stouts and sours, there are plenty of mainline beers to appreciate. I much enjoyed the classic Munich dunkel and Baltic porter, with a delicious Toadstool Oat Stout and a Citra IPA showcasing its namesake hop varietal excellently. Two bartenders were holding down the fort that Saturday afternoon, and they were super friendly, chatty, sarcastic in only the best way, and of course knew their beer and the industry. Just an absolute pleasure to stop in and drink a few!
My family and I went to the Firefly Hollow Brewing Co yesterday and had a wonderful time. Even with our wheat and corn intolerances we were able to enjoy all their wonderful beers. Very creative flavors and delicious beers. I highly recommend everyone give it a try!
