Paddington Curry House - Brisbane

As someone from the UK, where Indian cuisine is abundant, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant. We were recommended to try it out and we were impressed from the moment we walked in. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, with staff making a real effort to ensure we had a great experience. The food was delicious and fresh, reminding us of the curries back home. It's a BYO restaurant, but conveniently located next to a bottle shop for drinks. We will definitely be returning and are excited to try their new location in New Farm when it opens.

We were a group of 9 and the restaurant made sure to accommodate our request to sit outside. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and you can bring your own drinks. Despite being the last group there, we never felt rushed to finish our meal. I highly recommend paying a visit to this restaurant.

After reading positive reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. The food seemed overhyped and lacked original flavor. I ordered chilli vegetable momos and chicken 65 for starters. The momos were decent, but the chicken 65 was not as expected - it was more like a dry curry dish rather than a fried one. The photos speak for themselves. The curries, including lamb cashew and chicken Rogan josh, looked and tasted similar - sweet and bland, far from authentic. Even the naan bread was subpar. This place may not be suitable for those who truly appreciate authentic flavors. The only saving grace was the excellent service, deserving of five stars. However, with the disappointing food quality, I can only give this restaurant an overall rating of two stars.

I have been to the Paddington curry house many times recently. Good people, great food from an excellent menu. Try this Indian and it will be your new favourite.

Outstanding quality of food. The flavours were natural and fresh and tasted true to description. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided great service.
