Bidrage med feedbackHad breakfast here on two mornings while staying at the Quest Apartments Breakfast was part of the accommodation package Breakfast was excellent both days Coffee was okay Friendly staff and great service Definitely recommend eating here
Had breakfast here - recommend going before 8 if possible, it does get very busy. There is supposed to be table service, but I sat down at a table and after waiting 10 minutes went and ordered at the counter - there was no one else waiting at any tables at this time. I did notice that a number of people arriving shortly after me received table service. Coffee was good, table water was warm. I ordered the omelette which was very nice - but not $17.50 nice! This place is expensive for what it is, and I was generally underwhelmed by the whole experience. Would recommend heading across the road to the other cafe instead.
Back from working away once again i hit google and The Urban List telling me that Locavore was a must try in 2016 i drove out of my way to get breaky. Champions of bacon the website said, so i looked forward to breakfast with anticipation. Im a firm believer that a cafe to be ranked among the best should be able to do the simple things exceptionally well. So, two poached eggs, bacon and mushrooms on wholegrain shouldnt have been to much of a tall order. First up the coffee was exceptional. But when my plate arrived so did my disappointment. One piece of bacon! ONE piece of bacon?? From a place that supposedly has bacon as a forte, it lets itself down. Albeit it was Bangalow bacon and it was "thick" cut. As in 3 mm but really for $26 lift your game. To top off the meal the poached eggs werent perfect. Im being critical but theres thousands of other cafés around the city thatll put their hands up to do better. Go there to enjoy the coffee.
Very hip cafe with amazing food. My partner had the porridge which was sticky, sweet, and everything nice, and the orange juice which was that good kind of frothy. My almond milk flat white was pretty good, probably the third best almond milk flat white in Brisbane, and the lemon myrtle avocado on sourdough (which I added poached eggs to because it's breakfast) was the best avo on toast because the seasoning was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back to do cafe and Jaycar.
Limited menu choices and imagination but all effort with presentation. Good coffee and muffins!! The menu says no modifications but they were more than happy to accommodate changes to make a meal vegan.
