Bidrage med feedbackPassing through Wilston the other day this fish chippery caught my eye. There happened to be some great lunch time specials that day so my option was grilled fish with garden salad. The fish was cooked beautifully the salad was crunchy with a pleasant dressing. Chips which my friend ordered were also good
Exceptionally good value: dine-in fresh fish and salad from $8.50 for lunch: BYO 'D 'LISH FISH ' in Brisbane 's inner suburb of Wilston offers beautifully presented fish and salads, and chips, at prices that make it cheaper to eat there than at home. Once again, Janice and I lunched there and were pleased with the fresh grilled fish and artistically presented salads (Greek salad for me), complemented with Peroni 'red ' beer from Celebrations down the street. A simple diner set up in a good retail strip with parking out front, after visiting the cinema in James St in the Valley it was worth the eight minute drive to this delightful little place. All the popular fish are available, including: Dory, Red Emperor, Schnapper, NT Barra, Cod and Whiting, and other interesting dishes like salt and pepper calamari. I also like the tasty cold rice salad there with my fish. Friendly and polite service, and a delight to visit. Very popular with locals.
Highly recommend Dlish Fish Chips! We've been coming here for the past 6yrs and they never disappoint. In the photos is the: Seafood Combo for 2; Perfect for two people and could easily be shared between 4 people with small appetites. Comes with a great little salad, 2 x small tartare sauces and lemon. The coleslaw dressing is very oily so you might want to squeeze some lemon on it for a bit of zest. We always ask for battered fish and highly recommend it as they do battered fish very well. In fact the best battered fish on Brisbane's Inner City Northside! Extras we tried: Potatoe scallops; Crunchy and good sized. They also have a cheese bacon version which is interesting. Snapper spring rolls; Very good and highly recommended! Crumbed Camembert; Very good and great if you're a cheese lover! The only thing that needs attention is their tartare sauce.
I liked the fish and chips here. I'm looking forward to trying the seafood chowder soon.
Simply delicious! Our favourite fish and chips joint. We always go there for dinner on Fridays during Lent season and on Good Friday. Never been disappointed. My favourite on the menu is the Cod or Dory meal, battered. Batter is always crispy. Generous serve of chips. I've been to many fish and chips resto even around good coast and sunny coast. Still cannot beat D'lish. The only comparable resto is Ciccerello's at Fremantle WA. But that's too far away
