Bidrage med feedback@cornerstorecafe serve the most beautiful eggs on toast I have ever seen / Greek art crumbled and tomaten rührei with feta and pine nuts / that was so delicious and absolutely huge! Cornerstore is large because it is a bit more sort on its menu than just a simple avo on toast like a lot of breakfast places Located in toowong, this meal was with a large mandelic milk ice cold
It was in toowong today and thought we would let corner store go a bit. / we were greeted by a few employees at the arrival and advised either to go the side or straight through to get to their seat area. the place was half full when we arrived there and it was not long ago that it was filled with people (we could only imagine how busy it would be at the weekend)./ after we had set ourselves, a friendly worker approached us with a crippled water and took our orders for coffee. I took a thin hat that was quite delicious and tasty. my partner ordered a filtered icey long black, which he had quite dug and I thought it was just as nice. / eating, I needed a really long time to decide what I wanted. because there were some things I was interested in. I finally thought and ordered her kartoffel and corn hath, as shown in the picture below. for beginners I thought the whole thing looked very appetizing. I loved the way it was presented. the kartoffel was boiled at the right point where it was soft, but not muddy and they could actually resist a tiny bit when they bite on them. the chorizo was well seasoned and went well with the kartoffel. the mais on the floor threw into a hauch of sweet to the dish and fit into the rest of the ingredients. the cheese was one of the highlights for me, as he really raised the whole dish in several dimensions. another thing I really enjoyed was the satayed kale, a very nice supplement and it really spiced up the court. Wett also thought that the plastered chilies were a really nice note that we would be accepted would really be sharp, but actually nice. let us now talk about the few things I was not impressed. first, the plucked eggs were overdonated and did not really go with the remaining ingredients. Apart from the irons, we both thought that the tomato-based dressing was nice, but a bit too sour for my captivating. it was so intense that I could hardly taste anything after I had it. I thought the court would have been much better if the dressing wasn't overwhelming. one last thing was that the court was a bit fat for me. overall it was a good meal. Service wise, we thought it was absolutely brilliant and everyone who served us was attentive, nice and friendly. all drinks and food came in a timely way, although they were busy what we have appreciated. will come back. her brisket toastie and cheeseburger also looked really nice.
I've always been driving past this place and never had stopped to brunch there until the other day. I really love the setting here and the food and coffee is really nice! The staff are also very lovely too.
This is a lovely setting and the food is better than average. However, service is not. Some staff are more interested in talking to each at the coffee machine than taking orders. I waited 20min for my order to be taken, and there were 4 tables in the cafe. One last thing, the smashed avocado is the definition of an overpriced meal which you could make at home. Two small pieces of toast with half of one avocado over them. The additions of ricotta dukkah and haloumi w/ carrot jam are nice but for $18.5 I think you can do better. I just got service! The guy with his hair in a bun just asked if I wanted anything else. I ordered a flat white. Which I'll enjoy. It's a pity the service isn't more like this.
I'm a regular customer at Corner Store Cafe. I find the staff helpful and the menu is great, always changing with the seasons to add some variety but still keeps the classics.
