Roosters Piri Piri - Brighton and Hove

The food and service at this restaurant were average, but I really have to ask - why are they playing Christmas music in early November? This is a Halal restaurant, and many of their customers don't even celebrate Christmas. Could they please consider changing the music? Thank you.

All the food came with very little sauce, even though I asked for more sauce at the time of order. I also asked for 4 glasses of water. I asked the waitress for some sauce which she promptly agreed. We waited a long time but then decided to go to the till for the sauce, as the food was so dry and getting cold. The manager immediately said I needed to pay £0.50 for a small tub of sauce, as the sauce is expensive. I agreed to pay as felt very intimidated. I explained the food had very little sauce, however, instead of saying sorry, he continued to be very aggressive, and said you can have the sauce for free. He even said should I fire the waitress who served you? Why? I was shocked to hear this and really hope the waitress doesn’t lose her job. Don’t understand how such a small issue got so heated, making us feel so small just for asking for sauce. The person speaking to us told us he was the owner and was very intimidating towards us. I would suggest the owner improves his customer service and not to be aggressive towards the customers. It ruined our family dinner. We somehow gobbled the food and left, but no water came till the end.

Not a great experience. Customer service was not good, person serving seemed grumpy and did not wish to take time to speak. I felt as if talking to her was not what she wanted. Fries were good chicken was not good nor hot. Bit of a pitty about the quality of food and service

As a newly retired individual, I don't often dine out alone, but I decided to treat myself today. I ordered a chicken burger with BBQ flavoring and halloumi. The fries looked delicious from a distance and tasted fantastic with a mix of textures. The service was extremely friendly and top-notch. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

Chicken and chips were fine and good choice of sauces. However, the prices are too high for that kind of place. Lower the prices and you’ll her more customers
