Mansels Chippy - Bridgend

What a brilliant chippy. Very friendly service. Cooked my fish freshly while I waited. Gave me a free cup of tea. Food was first class. Would highly recommend a visit here. It’s open all year round including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Great service and the best chips around. Mansel’s are one of the few places we know of that serve GLUTEN FREE fish and chips. We visit regularly as my wife has coeliac disease. We recognise that Mansel’s is a “SAFE” place to eat as the staff are very good at ensuring that there is no cross contamination with gluten containing products. Not only is it “safe” for coeliacs, the food is of the best quality and the gluten free batter on the fish would rival any gluten alternative.

Oversell pretty poor. Portion sizes were very small. And varied a lot. Sausages were raw and not nice to eat at all.. prices were good but I guess you get what you pay for.. disappointed on this visit.

Literally just finished my last bit of fish chips and had to write this review. Chips tasted so fresh and not too greasy. Fish tasted like it had just been caught. Well done guys
