Auberge du Pont-Canal - Briare

This Auberge is in a lovely position overlooking the Canal and close to the town and countryside. Lots to do in the town, and good restaurants. The food was very good and the staff were also. The room, whilst comfortable was pretty basic. The option of a twin room would be good as the double bed was narrower than is usual. Lots of places to visit in the area. The local wines we find to be good.

Excellent Restaurant with reasonably priced drinks and food. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and service. The two of us had an aperitif, a main meal each, pichet of wine and café to finish for the princely sum of €53. Would recommend this restaurant but would hope the weather was better for other diners than the wet and windy weather we experienced that night.

We stopped here for lunch as a large group and we had to make a reservation. Menu was varied, the salads were amazing and huge!

We have stayed several times over recent years and eaten in the restaurant each evening. The staff are friendly and the location and view of barges from the restaurant is lovely. The food is simple but well prepared and excellent value.

Heureusement qu'il y a les touristes.Le cadre est beau et le personnel très gentil. Par contre foie gras servi avec du pain plus que sec. L'ile flottante ne m'a pas plu . Je n'y retournerai plus
