Meat Stop - Brentwood

BEST burger I've ever had. It's that great, if on death row, it'll certainly be my last meal. Stunning, fresh and value for money.

Ordered online and waited for delivery. Store phoned me to say it’s ready for collection! My kids are in bed and I’m by myself! The lovely man (Ben, I think? said not to worry and got someone to deliver my food instead. Food was excellent as always, but now have an even bigger appreciation for Meat Stop as they’ve gone above and beyond to help out. 5 stars all around! Thoroughly recommend!

I had the blue cheese burger and fries for lunch here, and it was excellent. The beef full of flavour and cooked pink, to perfection; the onions caramelised in balsamic; zingy blue cheese, and fries so crispy you could hear the crunch in Basildon. The owner was friendly and engaging, and took great pride in the food and the home made hot sauce that he brought out for me. Long may this place continue a real gem, and exactly what Brentwood needs more of.

Meatstop texted me a promotional discount: “This Bank Holiday enjoy 25% off your food bill with this text when you order for 2 or more! Valid Thu-Mon” I mentioned the promotion when I placed my order. Meatstop phoned me as I was picking up to tell me the discount was only valid if I ate in the store. Nowhere in the text does it say the discount applies for eating in store only. I showed them the text but despite acknowledging it didn’t mention eating in store only, they still refused to honour the discount which they had sent me! Feel cheated as it’s not a cheap place. The food is nice but since this is how they operate I won’t be ordering again
