Bidrage med feedbackThe location is impressive, inside the five-star Parkhotel, overlooking a beautiful pond. Crisp linen tablecloths and silver service, you'd expect something a bit out of the ordinary. What we experienced was an honest local cuisine and an adequate wine list; the service was a tad slow, possibly because of the place being fully booked. We expected a bill over the top, instead the amount we paid was justified. For a special dinner out.
Wonderfull service , and excellent food . For everybody there is something in 1 worth top service and excellent food
This hotel and restaurant is a luxury experience not to be missed. A superb meal in incredibly elegant surroundings begins with pre dinner drinks in their fabulous bar adjacent to the dining room. Just not enough superlatives to describe the setting, the meals, especially the Christmas goose prix fixe meal and the thoughtful caring unrushed service. The Park Hotel Restaurant, Bar and Hotel is a wonderful gift to yourself and a loved one.
I really enjoyed my meal here. The chef produces imaginative dishes with excellent combinations of flavours. I particularly recommend the tuna and the venision main courses. However, the service was less impressive, especially considering the high prices charges. Although the restaurant only had 5 tables and there were 3 serving staff, they still managed to keep us waiting to order and didn't offer us an aperitif. At 160 Euro for two courses plus wine, I expect perfect food and service.
We had been given a voucher for dinner and went as a party of three. We had a quick drink in the bar before - a couple of the wines were no longer in stock but still advertised..We moved into the restaurant when our guest arrived. The room is quite pleasant but our table overlooked the main entrance/car park. We all chose the a la carte menu. The starter of lobster salad was prepared at the table and was quite large, to put it mildly but justified the price of around 24€. The red cabbage soup was declared "interesting" and the pumpkin creme brulee did not have a crisp top and tasted rather tired. Main courses were good - there was a heavy accent on duck - with more than three different options. The two we chose were good and the suckling pig went down swiftly too. With a good bottle of wine, a couple of bottles of water, but no puddings, the bill was over €250. A pleasant experience with service to match but not one I would repeat.
