House Of Farnell - Brechin

I discovered this little jewel last year, a picturesque and cozy little school house that was transformed into a Christmas grotto with decorations, baubles, candles and many other beautiful little gifts and trinketen. Once they arrive, they feel immediately festive. the small caffe is also worth a visit with a selection of paninis and sandwiches, hot drinks and cakes. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

What a jewel of a Christmas business, we spent a lot of money here. many unusual things. but also a Danish caffe. it is only open for 3 months. the parking lot is not very large, so they come early if they want to eat.

Nice food, typical Scottish scenery with a Danish/Dutch twist. Little Xmas shop with plenty of quality crafted decoration. Also, coffee shop has really nice options, all based on locally sourced ingredients. Only downside is the distance from the closest town.

The atmosphere here is fantastic this time of year. We visited earlier than usual due to my baby. There are plenty of unique items to look at, and the prices are quite reasonable. We always make a point to stop by the cafe, and you can always expect something delicious—especially the white chocolate and cherry scone I had!

This beautiful coffee shop has a great menu. When I visited, it was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and they had a wonderful selection of holiday decorations on display.
