Wow... While traveling through Burford, Ontario, my wife and I were in search of a lunch spot. We wanted to steer clear of the typical fast food options, so we were thrilled to stumble upon the Burford Bakery on 127 King Street. They offered fresh, made-to-order sandwiches which immediately caught our attention. We both opted for the Egg Salad sandwich on whole wheat bread. To our delight, the egg salad was prepared right before our eyes - hardboiled eggs, celery, spring onion, and mayo/salad dressing all mixed together in a bowl. The sandwich was served on two thick slices of freshly baked whole wheat bread, generously packed with a delicious egg salad filling. It was truly the best sandwich we've ever had. But that's not all - we also treated ourselves to two freshly made raisin butter tarts. These tarts were 3 inches across, 2 inches deep, and filled to the brim with decadent, gooey goodness. If you find yourself near Burford, do yourself a favor and stop by the Burford Bakery for a superb lunch experience.
