Lamarsh Lion - Braintree

First time in the lamarsh lion yesterday and it was excellent. 5 well kept local ales were on from local breweries such as Pumphouse community brewery. Range of lagers, and the usual stuff including wines also available. A highlight was the food, I had a ploughman's with cheddar and stilton. Tasted excellent, Big portion and was excellent value for money too. My mate had chips and they looked great as well, again nice portion sizes. Atmosphere was welcoming, quiet and relaxed. It is a nice country pub very nice service and atmosphere and the land lady was very friendly and pleasant and so was the waitress and the food was excellent we will be going there again Parking: the carpark is quite large for plenty of cars Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5
