Gandhi - Braintree

I would not recommend this Indian takeaway. The food was the worst I have had in a long time. The Tarka dal was inedible, the chicken Korma had very little chicken, and the prawn bhuna did not taste good at all. The Naan bread was thick and doughy, and to top it off, the mango chutney sauce was forgotten and then charged for as I was leaving. It wasn't even in the bag. I will not be returning.

I have recently started going to this restaurant and after 3 visits, I am happy to say that the quality and consistency of the food is good. The service is friendly and the orders have always been accurate. It is also convenient because it is close by. I will continue to order takeout from this place. If you are in the area and have not yet tried their curry, I highly recommend giving them a shot.

I ordered takeout last night and the food was delicious. It arrived within the timeframe given when we placed the order. I have no complaints and will definitely be ordering from them again. I am a very satisfied customer!

We ordered from the counter and were greeted with very friendly service, a good first impression. However after ordering and sitting we were very aware that the waiting room was cold, uncomfortably cold, no heating for customer comfort. The food was cooked promptly and we drove home. Firstly, the Nan bread was undercooked and badly burnt at the base. This would have been noticed in the kitchen but was packed in our order anyway. Second, we had ordered a butter chicken dish and were supplied with a chicken korma, not what we had ordered. The lamb bhuna we had ordered was mostly sauce, very low percentage meat content and only half filled the container. The food was tasty and hot, which is why we did not star the quality lower. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not likely return due to the lack of customer care overall.

Recommended by quite a few folk so we tried this out. The service is quite OK, the food qulaity was good and it stayed hot ready to eat when back home. Will definitely use this indian take-away again. Didn 't have the 'zing ' that I had hoped for but the prices are good and it was a perfectly acceptable meal. Overall pleased to have tried out the Gandi Indian in Sible Hedingham
