I really enjoyed the chicken fried rice with curry sauce at this restaurant. The only issue is that they do not accept credit card payments. I find it odd that in this day and age, in 2023, they only accept cash. It is inconvenient as most people do not carry cash anymore and prefer to use cards for payments.
Last night me and my friend went to this place as we were in the area. We used to come here years ago so we went for a bit of nostalgia. We ordered our food and sat down to eat, chatting away about days of old, all the while the lady behind the counter was playing tiktok videos full blast on her phone which was really annoying. Just as we were pretty much finished she pipes up excuse me, be quiet to which we replied excuse me? , she followed it up with its a take away not a restaurant!!! I want quiet . Baffled by this I asked her what the chairs and eating counters were for then? She didn 't respond She was being louder than anyone with her tiktok videos so that clearly wasn 't the issue. I told her she was very rude and we left, won 't be coming again. Food was bland, nasty and tasteless too,much like the woman who served it.
So we ordered from the Great Wall Chinese in Bradford as we always do every new years eve. The food is normally so delicious Yesterday we ordered. And we ordered early. Around 7pm. Food bill came to £45 and we waited an hour which was fine Food arrived warm. Not hot. One main was missing chicken chow mein When we rang tobletbthem know, the lady answering the phone told us to wait. We were left waiting on the phone for 7minutes When she came back she was very off and not listening When we finally managed to explain 1 main was missing send could we have it we were told we would need to wait another hour . We stated we were sitting down to eat and this would mean the rest of the food would go cold. Anyway she still said an hour An hour and half later still no food. We rang the restaurant continuously but it was constantly engaged and we could not get through. We sent a message on just eat but still nothing It is now the next day and we have had no apologies or reimbursement for the missing food Absolutely disgusted and angry at this as it not onky ruined our family meal but made everyone feel guilty eatung theirs as 1 person did not have theirs. The Great Wall needs to apologise and reimburse or offer a compensation meal for the family Very very poor customer service
This takeaway was local to where I was staying overnight in a hotel. Parking was tight, not may places to park outside on the main road but manage to find somewhere eventually. Chinese lady at the counter, not very good at smiling or customer service. I ordered singapore fried rice with curry sayce on top and a side portion of salt and pepper chicken wings. Come to just under £10 which on reflection was pretty good as it was a large container for the rice and the portion of wings was quite a good size. Apart from the poor customer service, the food was really good
