Bidrage med feedbackCame on a Saturday evening around 6:15 pm via eatclub. Was seated promptly by the japanese staff. There is parking for the complex, but there was plenty of street parking as well. The restaurant has a very homey vibe compared to the one in sunnybank. Ordered the chirashi Kaisen don and a sushi bento box. The sushi was pretty fresh with decent cuts. Decent sushi as there aren’t many good ones around the area. Nice touch to have 20% off sometimes via eatclub! Would come back and try their signature frappes as well!
A Japanese venue that is hidden from the busy streets and packing an authentic and flavorful menu.Time to go to Japan, let’s do it!. Where to begin….Yes, there was a lot of food. . Really love the quality of seafood they use here and that they do not use MSG. The rice was so soft and fluffy, the and so much flavor everywhere.I loved the cute sashimi boat they put together and the variety of seafood offered. The curry sauce was very rich and creamy too.Price wise its competitive with their Sunnybank store, and the portion sizes are very good.Their new menu include bento boxes as well.
We arrive at 6.45pm with Tim.E, our foodie friend visiting from Melbourne. We decide to place our food order before the arrival of the dinner time crowd. <br/ <br/ Large Sashimi<br/ Mixed Tempura<br/ Unagi Roll<br/ Soft Shelled Crab Roll<br/ Rainbow Roll<br/ Shark Fin Jellyfish Salad<br/ Edamame <br/ <br/ Every item on the Sashimi platter was fresh but surprisingly the Tuna sashimi was tough with gristle. Mixed Tempura was excellent. The Rolls were freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. And our two entrees were tasty, whetting our appetites. <br/ <br/ This beautiful restaurant is similarly decorated as their original Sunnybank restaurant and is much larger. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal and the service was friendly and helpful. Thank you Guys!<br/ <br/ With Timinmelbourne Phuong Tran Gaik Kee Khoo
Up in Brisbane I met Phuong Tran Gaik Kee Khoo and Joe K for dinner. What delightful company.<br/ <br/ We headed out to a Japanese restaurant in an apartment building where there were a some restaurants on the ground floor. One of which was <br/ Ku-O and this themed restaurant was excellent. And opposite the Gabba Cricket Ground which is great so you can get a good feed before a game.<br/ <br/ The service was friendly and attentive throughout the night. <br/ <br/ The food was really high quality and we all enjoyed some sushi rolls some unagi rolls. They were both freshly prepared and the unagi wasn’t too sweet. Wow what a perfect start.<br/ <br/ The tempura prawns were amazing, juicy, full of meat and the flavour was sweet. Perfect! <br/ <br/ Other highlight included the spicy edamame mmnn yummo, which were all plump and full of beans.<br/ <br/ When the sashimi platter hit the table I was blown away. There were so many different types of fish, all so tasty and the most delicious flavours.<br/ <br/ Even Phuong’s matcha drink was really tasty. I had a great time, thank you to my wonderful hosts.
I visited this restaurant for the first time on 20 Oct 2019. The environment was intriguing and comfy, there are plenty of space inside. I had a feast that night I tried their sashimi, sushi plate and shabu shabu, and all I can say is fantastic. I've learnt that some of their seafoods are imported from Japan and Canada, so the quality was fresh!<br/ <br/ Their drinks are worth a try also I had a go with the Hojicha Latte and Taro latte I recommend to all the ladies and kids out there who would like to fully immerse in the Japanese cuisine!!
