Smoke, Fire Coal - Bozeman

The brisket cheddar burger was exquisite ? We also got pork ribs, but those were a bit dry.

In seventy-five years of unremitting consumption, I have never, NEVER I say, had a pork sandwich to compare with the pulled pork at Smoke, Fire Coal. It was amazing. How a chef can manage to serve puled pork while at the same time having it slightly pink I cannot fathom but they did it. Superb, just superb. Was it worth driving all the way from Portland, OR to Bozeman to get one I am not sure. But by golly, if you happen to be in Bozeman going to someplace else, by all means stop here. You will not regret it.

Service was good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive! That's the only thing keeping this from being a 1 star review. Brisket was horrible. Dry, tough, and cut too thick. The first brisket I ever cooked was better. Disappointing for sure! Mac and cheese was bad. Fried okra was pretty good actually. Nothing remotely creative or special about this place. I was excited to try it out based on the reviews but after this experience I think there are a lot of people who rated this high also think the McRib sandwich at McDonald's is good bbq.

I highly recommend Smoke, Fire and Coal! We had an amazing meal. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I can’t recommend them enough. I am excited for our next visit.

I’m super impressed by the service at Smoke, Fire, Coal. They were very attentive, kind, and we’re prompt with service throughout the night. I saw a lot of people walk up to the door, look in and leave. Big mistake. The food was really good. The Beef Cheddar was a super good sandwich with a great bite from the horseradish sauce. The chicken tenders were DEFINITELY made from scratch and we’re some of the best I’ve had. The slaw, fries, and Brussels were also killer sides. I’ll definitely be coming back here more often.
