Halibut House Fish & Chips

We ordered from this restaurant a few months ago and found it to be expensive for what we received. A friend ordered the unbattered halibut and it was very limp and dry.

The restaurant has a traditional diner atmosphere, but the food exceeded expectations, particularly the fish and chips.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. When I walked in, I saw one of the staff members eating a sandwich behind the counter where he prepares food for customers.

So they won't take orders early today. I understand it will be a busy day. We show up early to get our order in. Here we are two and a half hours later still waiting. How long does it take to plan and prepare for this day. It happens every year. Poorly managed and poorly run. There is no excuse to justify this. It is just wrong to think this is ok. It is not like we showed up late. We came early. Thank you for the lessons in patience today. If we ever get the food there is no way it will be good enough to make up for this delay. I don't post much. But I had lots of time to wait for the food Definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Breakfast : one egg, 2 bacon, 2 toast, home fries $3.49; what's not to like; served til 2:00 p.m.; the cook is very good, pleasant and accommodating; if you want your bacon light or crisp, just ask her; she tries always to do her best; we appreciate that; the waitresses are attentive, friendly and social; the pancakes here are also huge and delicious. .. and we love the columbian coffee; We're regulars and we're going to keep it that way. Why change a good thing!
