Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Grandma's French Toast breakfast is always my go to. It never disappoints. I was also able to shop in the store and purchase some Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephew.

Wanted some fried chicken for lunch. Was around the area and didn't have time for a sit in lunch. I ordered the fried chicken with steak fries and mac cheese with two corn bread. Everything was good. Only disappointment was I never received the two corn bread. Noticed before leaving and took the loss there.

Update: Still a great place! Had the absolute nicest waitress this evening. We come here every once in a while. Good food and fair prices. I got the shrimp dinner but strangely did not enjoy it tonight. Took one star off because the waitresses are hit and miss. They really like to mess up your order. Tonight I was brought a sample platter instead of the shrimp. I should have taken it lol but while apologetic I still had to wait while they put in the correct order. Other times we have had them not bring a side dish you ordered until you ask or complain. The shop is always fun to look at on the way in or out.

The food is still good. The candy shop is still good. Restrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The need for wait staff is very real. Once we were seated, we waited a full 10 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge we were there. Help wanted banners were prominent!

Had lunch here today and the food was excellent. I had fish and chips followed by the chocolate pecan pie. Erica, our trainee server was excellent and her mentor whose name I didn’t get did a great job too. It was worth the trip from Canada
