Rip's Country Inn - Bowie

This is my favorite restaurant, I come here as much as I can for a home cooked breakfast.

Always a great experience here. Good selection to choose from, and it is all good.

My Wife and I have been going to Rips for 40 years and I have been going there since I was a teenager in the mid 1950's it has maintained a level of excellence for American food that is envied by competing restaurants in the area. It is the gold standard for American food in the PG/Anne Arundel county area. The open face sandwiches are to die for and the Melt is an icon of crab /bacon on rye you will ever want to tie into my favorite is the Monte Cristo you have to eat it to believe it. There is not an average meal on the menu and if you are lucky enough to get Dawn to serve you in the bar area your day will be made.

The greeter, the server and the chef were great. The food was very good (breakfast) and reasonable pricing. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing. We will be there again. I recommend Rip’s for breakfast.

I had the Monte Cristo Sandwich and it is to die for fantastic I took home the Melt a classic Crab Melt with Bacon and Cheese it has been a favorite at Rips for over 50 years and is easily the best crab sandwich I have ever had. My wife had the trout and gets it every time because it is filleted and the best Trout she can get this side of Ocean City Maryland. I enjoy an adult beverage if you like to indulge responsibly Rips has two great Bar tenders Luis and Dawn you can't go wrong with either one.
