Bidrage med feedbackIn Lower Piedmont, in an open countryside overlooking the Mount “Bisalta”, the “Twin Pecks” of the Maritime Alps, in San Mauro di Boves, the farm house of al37 welcomes its guests in a farmhouse, restored and set up in a farm restaurant. The location offers different room solutions, from the interior rooms for winter evenings and live in the closed to the outdoor veranda indicated for banquets and official lunches. Surely more ‘suggestion’ is to dine under the porch, where you can fully breathe the atmosphere of good peasant table and Piedmontese hospitality, in a green setting. The menu is strictly presented according to the formula of the catering from farm, with the proposal of a fixed tasting menu and limited alternative choices mostly for the cases of intolerance and/or differentiated food regimes. Plates of Piedmontese tradition, with revisits of international cuisine and creative ideas, not all fully matched as in the preparation of appetizers. Surely more convincing the main-course, of which the agnolotti at the brown bottom and the cut of pork at the thyme, which are to be tried. To close, a dessert delight. The offer of wines is to be completed, but it is pleasant to open with a quality Italian sparkling wine such as the Alta Langa Docg, while with dessert it is definitely original the proposal of the house of a niche meditation wine, such as the Pineau des Charentes, which pleasantly surprises. Service treated but not impeccable and conditioned by the setting to proceed simultaneously for all tables in the course sequence, which can create some défaillance, especially in the case of complete or almost. The price-quality ratio is adequate, in the middle-high band considered the type of catering. The Agriturismo La casa di al37 is worth a stop, lunch or dinner.
I had lunch in this characteristic local, friendly staff and prepared, very good and varied food, but nn you can pay 90 € in two for three starters, a first, a second and a dessert. It's unacceptable!
Last night, on the occasion of a weekend in search of relaxation and tranquility, with the family, we decided to dine in this place. I must say that the choice made was really perfect. Beautiful location, great food, service cared for in detail and attentive to the waiter, but above all we were pleasantly impressed by the kindness and competence of the owner. Very good appetizers and excellent tajerin made by them as well as the small pastry offered with coffee at the end of the meal. We are a little distant unfortunately, but we will definitely return!
I know this corner of paradise for a long time.. every time I host it is a feast of flavors, colors , atmosphere , surprises , chef Sergio is exceptional, evolving ... more and more surprising .. the friendly staff, friendly professional , always a joy to return
Not recommended local: the value for money does not meet a harmony, since for an aperitif of poor quality you pay 20 euros (bass, frittatines with undoubted taste, crocchette di potato, pizzettine e focaccine da discount, tramezzini with no flavor). They point out that it is not apericena, ignoring the fact that even an APERITIVE, if served and sponsored and CARISSIMO, must be QUALITY and not characterized by indecent products. Never in this place again.
