Bidrage med feedbackFantastic Authentic Chinese Cuisine! This place doesn’t offer a buffet, which is a good sign. We tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Combination Fried Rice, both of which were delicious. Keep in mind, the best Chinese restaurants often lack buffets.
The $1.50 egg roll was overcooked and had that unmistakable frozen food taste. I also noted that there were no Chinese staff members, including cooks, in the restaurant. It seems that the locals may perceive this as authentic cuisine based on reviews, but it really isn’t representative of true Chinese food. Most dishes cost $12.50 or more, and while the portions are generous for the Americanized versions, they certainly don’t compensate for the lack of flavor. The fried wontons (two triangles, as shown in my photo) were priced at $1.50, and I found it frustrating that the dinner plates had no added extras aside from what was explicitly listed on the menu. After my initial disappointing experience, I decided to give it another chance, hoping it was just an off night, but unfortunately, my second visit was just as unsatisfactory. I would advise steering clear of this place. Instead, try the little takeout Chinese restaurant next to the Mexican place near Walmart. Their food is far superior, and the prices are much better, with actual cooks who know how to prepare genuine Chinese cuisine.
Absolutely amazing! The egg rolls are fantastic every time, and the boneless chicken is delicious. The quality is consistently excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it! Plus, the decor is one of my favorite aspects of dining there.
I've been visiting this restaurant for nearly 20 years, and the consistency of their quality is unparalleled. It's the reason I keep coming back. The portion sizes, flavors, and prices are all fantastic. I've enjoyed every item on their menu. The Mandarin chicken is definitely one of the best in the Greater New Orleans area, and the honey chicken is delightfully sweet and crispy. Their rice and lo mein are filled with plenty of vegetables and protein. The service is both fast and friendly. I truly hope Bamboo Garden remains open for at least another 20 years, as I know I'll still be a loyal customer at that time.
This restaurant served the worst house lo mein I've ever had! The chicken and pork tasted stale, and I'm worried I might get sick. The fortune cookie was the only highlight of the meal.
