Fishcakes - Bournemouth

I recently relocated to the area and decided to stop by this restaurant to grab lunch for my family who were assisting with the move. The service was fast and friendly, our food was made to order, delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. I also appreciated that the food was served in recyclable packaging instead of styrofoam trays. I would highly recommend this place.

Bought a mall portion of chips for £1.60. There was literally 13 full chips plus scrappings The chips were cold and dried. will not be using again. Unfortunate as I'ma local customer.

I went last night to fishcakes (Saturday) what can I say new cook amazing food had fish and chips and battered sausage and chips was so fresh and cooked to perfection that I'm coming back next weekend

Fish and chips were hot and light crispy batter and not at all greasy. Curry sauce is one of the best I have ever tasted my favourite. They have a great selection of menu choices to suite everyone. I can’t recommend this place enough and I have tried a lot of fish and chips across the area it’s amazing and well worth the money. Thank you!!

We have used this chip shop over many years but recently it seems to have gone downhill. Disappointingly, you cannot order a chicken portion anymore, you have to have half a chicken. The first time we had one of those, it was undercooked actually still pink inside. I put it into our oven to sort it. Today we gave it another go, this time with fish. Again, it was undercooked the fish still translucent in places. The chips were cold, too. Not impressed at all and it will be some time until we try this shop again.
