Bidrage med feedbackI have been to hundreds of Musicals in my life. And the BDT still remains one of my favorites. The servers/actors are top notch. The food continues to be good, and the atmosphere tops all. I will be so sad when this venue is gone in January. But at least I get one more time there for Fiddler on the
This review is kinda for naught. Boulder dinner theater is closing its doors. However the only thing precious about this was the will call lady. I missed the country dinner playhouse never got the chance to go before it shut down and I figured I better go to this before they shut down.If they were staying open I would recommend like seriously recommend blocking out a whole table if you had young ones or creating a specific family night once or twice per show for just families. The food was great albeit me not getting the apple strussel I wanted. Its been hard for me to really find the words for this review and it's got nothing to do with bdt persey.I don't think anyone from that night will see this review and I doubt bdt is checking reviews as they are closing.I was well aware of the eye rolls and hard stares I was getting. I was out with my 2 Littles watching the sound of music. They are loud and they did well in spite of it all. I get both sides I get those who were mad at me for bringing kids out and you paid 400 bucks for the table your sitting at. I want you to do me a favor he next time that spouse you're sitting across from are out celebrating big anniversarys, that big birthday your celebrating with friends. And you look around and see a single or solo mom out attempting to have a nice dinner out with kids and attempting to bring them up as cultured and civilized individuals. Please be kind..she paid the same amount of money for the table she's at and some of those single solo moms are widows like myself. Some don't have major family support and don't have baby sitters at their beck n call. Some are attempting to give their children the world including the ever fading world of theater. Be kindThank you to bdt for being kind
The performances and performers are wonderful! The food is very bad. My dinner was cold and lacked flavor. I would suggest eating at home, just having drinks, and enjoying the show!
Best Dinner Theater experience in Colorado!Love being served by the musical talent and the cast of “The Sound of Music” was superb. So sad that BDT will be closing end of year!
Take this review with a grain of salt. I don’t like dinner theater and resent the fact that the actors and performers have to serve me Buffett-level food. I’d rather they focused on their roles but that’s the business environment of Denver theater, I guess. However, the service was just fine considering the actors had to divide their attention. The food was straight gross. I’d prefer only alcohol and no food at all to the mahi mahi. Everyone around us was talking about how bad it was. Hey, maybe it’s my fault, I ordered mahi mahi in Colorado.Atmosphere is fine and I felt engaged with the performance and could see everything (snaps). The performance of the players was also fine. It was what I expected and I had a lot of fun with it. I wonder if it had been better if they didn’t have to worry about my gluten requirements. Like I said, take this with a grain of salt.
