Shabumaru Japanese Hotpot - Boston

Shabu Maru is one of our favorite places to eat in Boston. Great staff, great food!

Very delicious hot pot. Enjoyed the fact that you could have your own pot of broth and didn’t have to split with someone else. Meat and vegetables were delicious and perfectly portioned.

The food was pretty good, but the service was quite poor. Our server never once came to our table without us actually waving for her. It was over 15 minutes after we sat down before she even came over, and then we had to ask for water. We made a reservation for 5 people and when we got there they wanted to seat us in a row at the bar because someone else just took the big table . We ended up squeezing around a 4-person table and had to share hot pots. You can find vastly better service and better food for this price at many other nearby places. I would not go back here.
