Bidrage med feedbackI've only ever gotten the Sticky Sticky Bun once a long time ago; I forgot how massive these things are! Gotta say, I appreciate Flour's prices because pastries are quite expensive elsewhere nowadays. It was $5.25 for this bun. The name is fitting because it is sticky indeed and oh so decadent. It surprisingly isn't so sweet that it would be unheard of to finish in one sitting, but I recommend portioning it like I did. Flour provides the ingredient list for all their pastries online, but it would be great if they could provide the macros as well.
Flour is a bakery that serves a plethora of fresh ready made desserts drinks. They specialize in meringues, pies, cookies, and unique baked goods. There's a wide variety of sweets to pick from on the menu that cater to different people's tastes. It's located near the Boston University Medical Campus and Boston Medical Center. There is plenty of street parking nearby, and this location is the first of the chain in Massachusetts. When you walk in, there's a large menu you can pick from or a dessert case where you can see the treats that are available for purchase. The barista at the front was very nice! Additionally, the ambiance inside is very hipster, modern coffee shop/bakery. It's a perfect spot to hang out with a small group of friends or to lock in to study. There's plenty of small tables for indoor seating, so it's a great post-dinner spot. I ordered the Tcho chocolate cream pie, which was very decadent and flavorful. There was a good ratio of cream to pie filling to crust. I enjoyed it a lot! I would go back to try another dessert or drink on the menu and would recommend to someone looking for something sweet while in South End.
Came here for breakfast since it was convenient and across from our hotel. I got the iced coffee so the oatmilk (great! and the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It was a hefty sandwich and their house made aioli on it had a surprisingly strong kick to it. This location was super busy, people coming in and out, the line going all the way to the seating area, people sitting inside/outside. It was a tad chaotic especially for us (we dined in . The indoor seating area was tiny but we didn't want to eat outside where there was construction going on. The prices were a tad high in my opinion but overall we had a good experience.
Good and tasty breakfast that saved the day. We wanted to go to The Friendly Toast for breakfast, but despite going early, the wait was an hour and a half when we got there. Nope! Came to Flour instead since it was just a few steps away. They were also very busy with a long line, but it moved quickly. You also have the option to use the self service machine to order instead of getting in the main line. After ordering we waited less than 10 minutes for our food which wasn't bad at all. Our breakfast sandwiches were so good and filling. Great prices here too.
One of the best sandwich and breakfast spots in Boston. Always adding great new seasonal sandwiches. Great customer service with any issues that may arise. Boasting a nice outdoor patio for nice weather. They also just upgraded their app making ordering for regulars even more convenient.
