Bidrage med feedbackWe sat with our dog on the outdoor terrace at The Wellington, soaking up the last rays of sunshine as we ate our meals. It was really helpful for us that on their website, they actively invite 'muddy boots and wet dogs ', so we felt welcome to go after a coastal walk in this beautiful area. The bar staff were happy to show us their separate vegan menu, which offers quite a wide selection of dishes to choose from, includes things like mezze, soup, salad, curry, burger, chilli, and risotto. It was a little pricey, but the five-bean chilli and mushroom burger we had were pretty good, and we appreciated the variety of vegan food available in an otherwise traditional-style pub.
Been to the Wellington twice in the last couple if months and it didn't disappoint on either occasion. There's a separate vegan menu...and...a separate vegan wine list. On the first first visit, we chose from the menu. (I'm not listing it, there's nibbles, 2 or 3 starters, 4 main, sides and dessert). I had a mushroom burger, my better half had sun dried tomato linguini. All by the open fire nice. The 2nd visit was on a Sunday and they do a vegan roast loaf with roast veg and gravy this is separate to the usual vegan menu. And apart from being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about vegan cuisine, they are also on the ball my better half asked for a sorbet for desert (included in the price), but the girl who took our order came over and said sorry, and that she'd double checked the sorbet and it contained gelatine. She offered chocolate vegan ice cream, which was so nice that I ordered one as well and I don't do desert. Well worth a visit.
Good vegan menu and excellent food. made to feel very welcome would eat here definitiw again. one of the best vegan menus I've seen.
Managed to bring us out with friendly and efficient service, also with the additional challenge of social distancing. fab to have a dedicated vegan menu. excellent chips, delicious vegan burgers. will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!
