Pure Italian - Boroondara

Went on a cold Tuesday night & the restaurant was half full. The food was excellent, along with exceptional service. Will definetly go again.

Entree of brains ok followed by beef cheeks, slow cooked again ok but not huge in flavour. Generous serve. Dessert was panna cotta not very good, finish leathery and not light and wobbly. Likewise berries not that enjoyable. They had a lunchtime special of any entree main and dessert for about $50. However informed when we got there that the half duck unavailable as it would take another two hours to cook! Annoying as we were looking forward to it.

Italian food is one of my favorite food, and I really feel like I'm in Italy when I go to this place. The food is sooo good, I have loved every dish that I have tried here, but my little favorite are the gnocchis. Plus, the atmosphere and the decoration of the place are very rustic like it says. The owners are and waitress are super cool and will do anything to satisfy you which is highly appreciated. I highly recommend Pure Italian if you want to escape to Italy for a night.

Entrees were satisfactory but Mains were not up to scratch. Duck dish was very tough and the Seafood pasta dish was overpowered by too much chilli even though I love chilli.

Authentic Italian food at it's best, the pasta was amazing & one of our friends has the biggest chicken parma I've ever seen!
