Block 7 kitchen - Boroondara

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a fast meal. The staff members are welcoming and consistently polite. I have visited this place multiple times and the interior is always well-maintained and attractive. However, the prices are a bit expensive and they add a 1.5% fee for credit card payments, while offering a 2% discount for cash transactions. This makes it difficult to accurately determine the total cost of the meal, which is why I am giving them less than 5 stars.

We had a fantastic lunch with my family at this restaurant. The beautiful decorations caught our eye and we were not let down. The roasts were some of the best I have had in Melbourne. The pork and duck were cooked perfectly, keeping their natural tenderness. The garlic Chinese cabbage was not too greasy or overly seasoned. At $60 for two people, this restaurant is one of the best Chinese options in its price range.

The service at this restaurant is extremely efficient, with tables being cleared quickly and the wait staff being friendly and accommodating. I ordered the steamed vegetarian dumplings and prawn dumplings, both of which were delicious. I plan to come back again in the future. The menu has a wide variety of options, but since I was in a hurry to catch a movie, I didn't have time to explore them all. However, when I return, I'm excited to try some of the other dishes on offer.

Lovely meal here with family. Very satisfying! Staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. We were impressed with all the dishes. We're looking forward to come back!

What an unexpected and really pleasant surprise Block 7 turned out to be yesterday. We chose this place DESPITE the name which concerned a few people in our group and so we stumbled across a place we will be returning to many times in the future. The dumplings were clearly home-made, fresh and delicious. The choices during the dim sum (or Yum cha, whatever works for you) were almost designed for every member of our family and we ended up getting almost every option offered to us. The Tea is fresh and uses leaves (instead of teabags) and the service was so good, warm, friendly and attentive. The ambience is nice, the seats are comfortable and the place was very clean. It's great value and the only reason we could think of for the one or two vacant tables was because of the restaurant name which even today still bewilders me!
