Bidrage med feedbackI visited on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at 5:30pm. The restaurant was empty, and I wasn't sure if it was due to the virus or the food quality. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff who greeted us warmly. We tried four dishes. The standout was the salt and pepper pork ribs, which were deliciously golden. The pepper steak was also good, with tender beef but could have been more peppery. The salt fish tofu lacked flavor, and the sweet and sour flounder came in bony pieces. We were given complimentary watermelon at the end of the meal. Overall, while there was a slight drop in the food quality, the friendly service more than made up for it. It seems that the old issues at Bamboo Chopsticks are now a thing of the past.
It appears that Bamboo Chopsticks has undergone a change in ownership. After experiencing terrible service, questionable pricing ($60 overcharge), and extremely rude service in the past, we had stopped visiting this restaurant despite enjoying their delicious Chinese food. However, we decided to give it another chance tonight, and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service we received. The food was just as good as we remembered, but the real difference was in the improved service standards and attitudes. We hope that the previous owners haven't tarnished the reputation of these new owners. We will definitely be returning for more meals in the future.
This restaurant serves noodles and ordered dishes. Varieties of food choice from menu. Prices reasonable and all their ordered dishes are real delicious cooked to perfection. Not many tables, have to make booking in advance.
Rude staff. I asked for some chilli sauce when I picking up my take away, the staff said to me, don't you have it at home. Now I'm wondering if I need to take all the seasoning when I dine in next time, but probably won't be next time.
The reviews and ratings of Bamboo Chopsticks are polarised: 1* or 4*. To summarise the reviews written by patrons: 1) unkind service by the waitresses, 2) overpriced if you dine in, 3) better opt is to take away. This is a strategy to simplify management of BC. They intend to turn BC into a take away outlet. If you intend to take away, here are some suggestions: sweet and sour fish, chicken spare ribs, peipa tofu, string bean minced pork, eggplant hotpot and soy sauce chicken.
