Bidrage med feedbackVery warm welcome, nice local, menu different from other places, good good, i recommend after or before a nice walk in the old bordeaux streets
Busy on Monday evening, and had to sit inside. One of the few eating, most having drinks only. Very pleasant two waiters and a waitress. Promptly served our drinks, and later our food order. The zucchini flower fritters were fine, though rather more fritter than zucchini. Came with a nice dipping sauce. The ribeye steak was good too, but the chimichurri sauce was a disaster it wasn't properly blitzed in a food processor, and consisted mainly of largish pieces of parsley. There was no discernible oil, no garlic, and only a tiny piece of chilli, the result being it lacked any kick. The frItes were decidedly soft. The chicken caesar salad wasn't great either, both the chicken and bacon decidedly dry. I've never seen breaded chicken nuggets in a caesar salad before. Usually, it is strips of chicken breast. Overall, disappointed in the food. However, the staff were all most charming and helpful.
The weather got suddenly warmer so I could enjoy a traditional midday lunch outside on the terrace of a pittoresque restaurant among locals. For first course I took gratinated mussels on a rucola bed, they were delicious with the rustic bread. The main course was baked white fish with aubergines, I skipped the rich and tempting desserts ending with mere coffee. Service was friendly and attentive though one waiter had to take care of the whole terrace mainly by himself. Even the French are giving up the tradition of a three course meal so you can order a combination of the two dishes you most prefer.
If I could put 0 stars! They were deceived by the trade!
Oh, great! Great atmosphere! Thanks for the scooters:
