El Nacional - Bordeaux

Absolutely adored this restaurant. The staff are brilliant and the food is simply delicious. Well worth a visit. It gets busy so it's worth booking!

Incredible meal some of the best beef you can eat in Bordeaux. Also a killer wine selection with some great variety for someone looking to mix up the usual french options. Seating indoors is lively and fun while nothing beats the outdoor seating on a nice night. Highly recommended!

Great place and great service. Got there at 8:30pm and it was busy but not packed yet they couldn't fit us in so we had to reserve a table for 9:30pm. This want a ploy to create buzz as when we arrived at 9:30pm there were people queuing outside waiting for tables to become free and our table was ready and waiting, luckily. The food was tasty and recommended wine was great, although I think it would be hard to pick a bad red in Bordeaux. Would definitely go back there if I were to return to Bordeaux.

We were invited here by friends for a large birthday celebration. Despite our group being rather large and the restaurant packed, the service was quick and super friendly. The atmosphere is great, warm and cozy. Now, the food, what we came here for. Amazing, if you are into quality red meats and heavier dining, this is your spot. With exception of one dish, we were all highly satisfied. We were not very impressed with the Milanese, as it seems to fall out of place between the juicy, tasteful and delicious meats on the menu. The Milanese was rather small and disappointing compared to everything else they offer. All in all, we will be back, for juicy steaks and an amazing night!

Visited for dinner with my family. The attitude of the staff and the service was so poor that we were tempted to leave on a number of occasions throughout the evening. My partner who is French himself and used to the French laissez faire standards of service was shocked by the attitude of the waitress. In this lovely little square there are many welcoming restaurants with excellent food and service. This is not one of them.
