Great Wall of Yum Cha - Booval

Great food from various regions of Asia with a very welcoming and attentive staff.

It's a bit strange really, there's a sushi train trundling its way around, but who knows when the gear was made. But you can also order off the menu, which we did, more traditional Yum Cha type dishes combined with a basic Asian menu. It was Ok, but was an MSG overload. Won't be back.

We went here at 2pm so after the lunchtime rush, we ordered directly from the menu as well as getting from the "train" as there was not much left on the train. This is to be expected.What was terrible is that the food was stale old & awful. The egg tarts were all split, The spare ribs were microwaved and all stuck together, the chicken's feet where cold in spots & hot in others.We ordered a drink each 4 in total and they took 20 mins to come out after asking 3 times!Then they over charged us and would not listern to anyone. $95 for 4 drinks & 10 plates at $4.20 each. This did not add up!Will not be going back anytime soon.

Very ordinary food at this place, sushi seaweed was very chewy as well as the vedge wrap which mind you was freshly made?? My partner was repeating her food all through the movie we seen afterwards. The first time was average but though I would give them another go, won't be back! We spent more on 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine then what we ate!Also not enough food on the train and this was at 6.30pm. Very poorly run business.

I went with 2 friends for a birthday celebration. Never having been to a Yum Cha, I was uncertain what to expect. However the staff was very helpful, welcoming and friendly, explaining what I needed to know and answering my many questions. Having a number of food intolerances, I was able to make my way through the menu and find some very delicious options. One of my friends is a 'food lover' who enjoys Yum Cha on a regular basis and said he found the food quite good and well priced. However he also has a mighty appetite, so found their portions too small. I thought they were just right and I loved their homemade lemonade as well as the variety. The setting was clean and everything was well presented.
