Joy Bistro - Boone

Boone, NC is known for its gems. If you find one you want to know. In a quiet corner of a small shopping mall we found a hidden gem named Joy Bistro. We recently held our son's wedding rehearsal there (Party of 22). Gary worked with Joys Köchen to prepare an exquisite, beautifully balanced menu of delights with wine and roasted with a light sharp prosecco. From the outset, the extraordinary appetizers (Joy's Wontons, Pate a' Choux Gnocchi, Firecracker Shrimp, the farm fresh garden salads, (Bartlett Pear Salat, Peach and Prosciutto Salat for the main dish selection (NC Trout, Joyce Farms Chicken, Local Drake 3 cheese Ravioli, GC's all Bistromen Burger! And if that's not enough, the meal ended with a Wild Berry Prosecco Sorbet or decadent Kahlua Espresso Torte made the evening an enormous success! Gary's team has redesigned the dining room and put a nice staff on the table (Lacy and Ashley, who treated everything magnificently, let us relax and enjoy the evening. I traveled the world and eaten in some of the best restaurants on the planet and must say that Joy Bistro is something special. If you are in Boone, looking for a gem, do not want to miss Joy Bistro. We would like to thank you for being so wonderful for a very important, special night for our family. Everybody's still saving on food!

You can say when a place has pride and love in what they do! From warm welcome to the door to our waiter, Alex and all the way through our culinary experience was Top Notch! We ordered an appetizer with gnocchi, artichoke hearts and other delicious taste, Pâte á Choux Gnocchi and it was fabulous! I ordered her case Classic Cocktail and it was perfect! Our entrees came (perfektly timed) exactly as we ordered them. The fillet mignon was fabled in my mouth, even the boiled vegetables on the side were done beautifully. The order of the Maine Diver Scallops could not have been better prepared! Perfectly melted, successful, with a gentle smokey taste. We finished with a common chocolate cake, which was a perfect end for our dinner. You made my birthday dinner exquisite!

Always our favorite go-to place for dinner whenever we are in the Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk area! Amazing meals and outstanding service! We have lots of wonderful memories of special occasions celebrated at Joy Bistro!
