Bonita Golf Course

Bonita Golf Course is in great condition for August on about 80% of the holes. The rest were still okay but some fairway damage. We really enjoyed it. The holes are mostly flat but there are still plenty of challenges. If we were not playing with regulars we would have gotten lost making our way from hole to hole. Not laid out or signed very well. But still fun. The green rolled quick and true and were in good shape. Around the outside of the course there is a hiking/walking trail, that had people riding horses. Great treat in the San Diego area for not too much money.

We used to love playing at this course, but our recent experience has left us feeling disappointed. We were on the 10th hole at 7pm when a staff member came around and informed us that we only had 30 minutes left to play. This was surprising, as there was still plenty of sunlight left. We felt rushed and couldn't even enjoy our last few minutes on the course.Not even 15 minutes later, we were told that we had to stop playing. We were about to tee off on the 11th hole, and there was still plenty of daylight. We paid $100 for two people, and we feel that we did not get our money's worth.We understand that the course has a closing time, but we feel that we were treated unfairly. We were not given enough time to finish our round, and we were not given a refund. We hope that the course will reconsider its hiring process and hire quality individuals with good customer service skills.AND on top of that we didn’t see a cart girl the whole day, it was a HOT weekend weekend . Not a single water fountain or ice station completely disappointed. Not what is used to be. Not coming back, go to chula instead for a better experience with service.

This is my first visit and I am a relatively new golfer. The course was very well maintained and the grounds and cafe were refreshing. There is a drink stand at the nine hole mark. Was an extremely fun experience. I would do it again in 2 weeks!

Rented clubs and received a Strata bag with 6 dirty clubs. The course had no starter/ranger to manage course pace. Our tee time was half an hour late and it only got slower from there. The course is in pretty decent shape but it was disappointing that these basics weren’t covered.

First time playing this course.A very fun course to play for most weekend players. It is wide open, almost hard to lose a ball. It is a pretty property and easy to walk. The overall course is in very good condition and the greens were in good shape and fun.The drinks at the stand were a good value for todays prices and the girls were very nice. Please don't increase the prices!!*The restaurant should really consider serving the food for players that order at the turn more carrying friendly. Those white styrofoam boxes in a bag are terrible to carry...one of our players lost her recently ordered lunch on the ground because the bag is so cumbersome to carry.Considering adding wraps to the menu, wrapping the sandwiches or using a smaller box with handles among other ideas would be awesome.Go play it!
