Bidrage med feedbackThere is a blackboard at the entrance to the restaurant with the day's specials. This gives a choice of two main courses and two desserts. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and the blackboard was unchanged all that time. The a la carte menu was not extensive. The veal with olives was very good, but not wanting to eat it every night, I opted for the fish soup. Having read about the bouillabaisse on which the restaurant prided itself, I was expecting, for 13 euros, something better than I had, which was a bowl of ordinary fish soup much as can be bought in any French supermarket, with rock-hard oversize croutons.
We were delighted to have found this village next to Golfe de Sant Amanza [the spelling varies, but the roadsign says Sant Amanza]. The little bay was very quiet and it was easy to park either at the hotel or a bit lower down in a free car park. We ate on the terrasse in the shade, with a view out over the bay. You wouldn't say it's fine dining but the food is cooked from fresh and delicious and the waitresses are charming and helpful. Definitely one to go back to.
Great view on the sant'amanzza Gulf. If you're lucky you'll see the dolphins playing in the water. Wotrh a visit for the view on the evening, wonderful sunset. Food is simple and mostly fresh. I've been eating there many times and most of the time I was satisfy. Family owned hotel-restaurant with the son of the family cooking. very decent prices.
We were staying at a villa several miles away and had asked for restaurant recommendations. Restaurant du Golfe is where we went two different nights! We all had different dishes and all were good. Our waiter was extremely competent and very friendly, glad to recommend food and drink.
A relaxing setting, staff kindness and quantity of dishes. without forgetting the view of the wild port
